Holy Cross Hospital, Dakopgre, Tura, is Completed 25 years of its existence . The hospital is the fulfillment of a great dream of Most Rev. George Mamalassery, DD the then Bishop of Tura. Realizing the poor and inadequate health care facilities existing in Garo Hills at the time, Bishop George embarked upon the gigantic venture of constructing a 100 bed hospital in Tura back in 1990 and completed it in record time. The hospital was inaugurated by Shri Purno A Sangma, the then Union Minister in the Government of India in November 1993.
